MAX Anesthesia: The health solution that revolutionizes pre-anesthesia consultation

BOTdesign, experts in the development of conversational medical robots and secure instant messaging, are launching MAX anaesthesia solution, the first 360° tool to support patients, doctors and healthcare professionals during anaesthetic consultations.
MAX anaesthesia offers THE solution for collecting patient health data prior to the appointment, so that any anaesthetic risks can be highlighted. The platform was created in compliance with the recommendations of the SFAR (French Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care).

How the solution works

In France, any surgical procedure performed under anesthesia requires a pre-operative anesthesia consultation beforehand. This appointment allows the doctor, within a limited time, to review the patient’s medical history, current treatments, inform them about anesthesia techniques, and explain the associated risks.
Creating an account
As soon as the operation is scheduled, the patient is invited to create their MAX Anaesthesia account.
Questionnaire
Patients can then complete a detailed medical questionnaire, in the form of a chatbot, enabling them to fill in their anaesthetic file directly. The data is stratified according to anaesthetic risk using a colour code.
Source of information
Patients have access to comprehensive documentation on anaesthesia and all related subjects, with videos, frequently asked questions, files, etc.
Instant messaging
The doctor, patient and other health professionals in charge of the case can communicate or exchange files before the operation, directly on the platform.
These steps are carried out at the patient’s own pace, directly on their smartphone, tablet or computer whenever they want. This gives them all the time they need to read the documentation on the anaesthetic procedure and answer the chatbot’s questions.

Support for the patient…

Thanks to MAX anaesthesia, patients have access to documentation to answer the most common questions during anaesthesia consultations, at the pace they want. This documentation is available right up to the consultation and helps to reduce patient anxiety. It also helps patients to better understand the information relating to anaesthesia.

…as for the doctor…

During the anaesthetic consultation, the doctor has access at a glance to important information about the patient with colour-coded stratification of responses according to their anaesthetic risk (APFEL, APAIS, LEE, STOPBANG, ASA scores). In addition, the MAX Anaesthesia tool meets the IPAQSS score criteria (patient identification, doctor, mention of usual treatment, etc.) measured by the HAS. Thanks to this time-saving feature, the doctor can discuss and reassure the patient during the appointment. They no longer have to fill in anaesthetic records, and can easily share them in PDF format with the medical team in charge of the patient.

… all securely!

All exchanges are secured by SSL/TLS encryption protocols (HTTPS/WSS communication protocol) and the data collected by the Chatbots is hosted by an approved French health data host: AZURE.

About BOTdesign

BOTdesign develops innovative digital e-health solutions, including chatbots operating in an HDS health data hosting environment, with expertise in managing integrated and complex projects. The company is also developing encrypted and secure instant messaging for healthcare data, and dashboard solutions enabling healthcare professionals to optimise their time by qualifying their active patient file according to the urgency of the need for action. BOTdesign was founded in April 2017 by Jean-Louis Fraysse, a pharmacist and specialist in chronic diseases and e-health, and Olivier Thuillart, a biomedical engineer specialising in new technologies applied to healthcare. More generally, BOTdesign embodies the ability of start-ups to rapidly provide appropriate solutions in times of crisis. These solutions are referenced and evaluated by the services of the Conseil du numérique en santé (Digital Health Council) to guarantee public safety. The current health emergency is revealing the potential of digital technology to help healthcare professionals and patients confined to remote hospitals. BOTdesign is helping to deploy connected medical services. Contact BOTdesign: Olivier Thuillart : othuillart@botdesign.net
